Oregon Episcopal School actively encourages and welcomes volunteers. We believe that our educational experience for young people is enhanced through the wide variety of skills, interests, and experiences that can be supported through volunteer efforts.

Great schools are made up of partnerships among parents, students, and teachers. At OES, we believe in this triangle. The family focus that has become a tradition at OES comes full circle through volunteering.

We know that OES parents want to be involved in the educational lives of their children. While we recognize that there are many things that we, the professional educators, should be doing without assistance, we also recognize that much of what we do can and will be enriched by volunteer involvement.

There are seemingly endless volunteer possibilities at OES. If you wish to be involved in grade-level activities, you might serve as a room-parent, as a tutor, or as a trip chaperone. You might go to the coast with the Fourth Grade, to Camp Hancock with the Fifth, to OMSI, the Zoo, or the Holocaust Center with younger or older students. You need not volunteer in your child’s classroom. We can help you find something elsewhere in the same division, or even in another division that matches your interests and time availability.

Perhaps your child has grandparents or special friends who would like to get involved. What a wonderful opportunity for all!

How do you find out what’s available? Review the opportunities for your division. Log onto the database, find your name and “Edit Your Volunteer Sign Up Sheet.” All volunteers are welcomed. You will be called to confirm your interests and participation prior to the event you are interested in. Volunteer to help out. Volunteer to learn. Volunteer to meet new people and make new friends!
