Field Day Lets Students Be Joyous and Frolic in the Sun

If you were wondering why the sun came out on Thursday morning, it was because the Beginning School students were planning to have a field day on the varsity athletic field. Although the theme this year was Wacky Water Games, they didn't need it falling from the sky. Fifth-graders led the games, which ranged from carrying buckets of water through an obstacle course to playing four-square volleyball. The purpose of the annual event, according to PE teacher Scott Corris: "Let them be joyous and frolic." See more photos.
