Lower School Library
Serving as a vital resource for the entire school community, the library houses books, reference and research materials, computers, a large selection of online subscription databases, automated circulation and catalog system, and a teacher planning center in a multi-level, child-pleasing design. There is a section of educational books and periodicals especially for parents.
Younger children come to the library to discover various types of literature and to learn to locate, check out, and enjoy books and other materials. Older students enjoy free access to the library and are often involved in resource-based research projects related to class work. Strong emphasis is placed on reading for pleasure and lifelong learning. The library is open before and after school, and during lunch recess. The staff is available for help whenever needed.
The Lower School Library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for students and parents. Students can visit the library during lunch recess as well as before and after school. Everyone is encouraged to use the Library and check out books to take home.
You are encouraged to celebrate your child’s birthday or other special events by donating a book to the Lower School library. Contact the librarian for details.
