Three highly respected and long-serving members of the OES community are retiring this year: Director of College Counseling Cynthia Doran (43 years), US Religion Chair Terry Hansen (31 years), and US Science Teacher Rosa Hemphill (16 years). On May 16, their own families as well as past and present members of the OES community came together to celebrate their impressive years of service. Terry, Rosa, and Cynthia are pictured above.

Special note:

If you would like to honor any or all of the retirees, each has indicated an area of the school they would like to see grow – an area of particular importance and meaning to them, and funds have been created to honor their wishes. Terry has asked that we use contributions in his honor to support innovation and exploration in the religion curriculum, while Cynthia has suggested we designate contributed funds to augment the college counseling program. Rosa would love to see the school’s support of student attendance at diversity conferences grow and suggests this as an area for contribution. If you would like to contribute, click here to visit the OES online donation page. Please note the retiree(s) you wish to honor as you make your gift.

This event was a revival of that tradition with a new twist and was enthusiastically embraced by both alumnae and current students. (L to R) Lia D. '08, Evelyn Zentbauer Lundgren '32, Natasha M. '08.
